ABOUT SINGAPORE MICE DEVELOPMENT

The Singapore MICE Development (SMD) makes its debut on 25 July 2025, alongside the Singapore MICE Forum (SMF). This new initiative provides a dedicated platform for leading MICE companies to connect with students from Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs). Through career insights, networking opportunities, and direct engagement, SMD aims to inspire and nurture the next generation of talent, while highlighting the diverse and dynamic career pathways within the MICE industry.

With more than two decades in the MICE industry, Amanda has built a career around creating unforgettable experiences and cultivating powerful partnerships. Currently serving as Strategic Partnerships Director at Encore Event Technologies in Singapore, Amanda brings a unique blend of strategic thinking, creative storytelling, and operational excellence to the events space. Known for a hands-on leadership style and a passion for people, Amanda thrives on building strong teams and delivering impactful results. Whether behind the scenes or in the boardroom, Amanda is driven by one thing: creating meaningful connections that move people and brands forward.

CT is an accomplished producer and Republic Polytechnic alumnus. In 2017, he and his team were the 1st Runner-up in the Singapore MICE Challenge during his academic year. He’s since worked on large-scale events for Google, IBM, and other technology companies. After serving in the Military, CT returned to the events industry, honing his craft with clients like Snapchat, Sophos, and Ericsson. His operational excellence and management skills have seen him successfully lead teams on prominent events such as Token2049, AIA, DBS and Bybit events in Bali, Athens and Dubai.

Christopher Kannesan is a seasoned technology and marketing professional, with over two decades of experience driving digital transformation and enhancing customer engagement through innovative strategies. With a knack for seamlessly integrating advanced technology solutions into comprehensive marketing campaigns, Chris aligns innovation with customer demands effortlessly.

Currently serving as the Vice President of Business Development at Searix, Chris leads strategic initiatives focused on propelling the company’s growth trajectory through pioneering event technology solutions. His involvement in this dynamic industry has led to the exploration of numerous innovative ideas, delivering measurable engagement solutions to clients effectively.

Driven by a passion for leveraging data-driven insights and staying abreast of industry trends, Chris is committed to delivering engagement driven solutions that yield tangible results and foster enduring customer loyalty in today’s dynamic digital landscape. His relentless pursuit of innovation and ability to navigate the intersection of technology and marketing allow him to boldly explore new frontiers and deliver agile, innovative, and reliable solutions.

With over 11 years in hospitality, Fabian leads the International MICE and Ticketing Sales & Operations at Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC). Since establishing the MICE Team in 2017, his team has transformed Sentosa’s corporate offerings through innovative experiences and
strategic partnerships, securing recognition including ‘Best Meetings Organiser’ (2020) and ‘Outstanding MICE Event Experience’ (2024) at the Singapore Tourism Awards.

Deeply committed to nurturing industry talent, Fabian actively mentors students through internships, collaborative projects, and the Singapore MICE Challenge. Their dedication to developing future professionals is reflected in their achievement of the ‘Emerging Talent Awards’ at the SACEOS Singapore MICE Awards in 2023 and 2024.

With a focus on hospitality innovation, technology integration, and sustainable practices, Fabian continues to shape engaging experiences while fostering collaboration across Singapore’s dynamic MICE landscape. He will be sharing his MICE journey on Sentosa at the inaugural Singapore MICE
Development (SMD).

Groosha Arora is a seasoned leader in event technology and operations, currently serving as the General Manager of Choose 2 Rent Singapore. With over 10 years of experience at Cvent, she has a proven track record of delivering complex, high-impact event tech solutions for global clients. Known for her strategic approach and execution excellence, Groosha specializes in agile project management, vendor and risk oversight, budgeting, and resource optimization. She’s also a dedicated people leader, with deep expertise in talent development, team engagement, and performance management.

Jonathan is a seasoned events professional with over 15 years of experience in business event production, partnerships, and stage management across Asia and beyond. Based in Singapore, he has held leadership roles at organisations such as Motion: For Impact, IMAPAC, Informa PLC, and Marcus Evans.

With a strong background in content strategy and a flair for live delivery, Jon has successfully produced and hosted events in cities including Shanghai, Singapore, Mumbai, Seoul, and Sydney. He also serves as emcee, VOG, speaker liaison, and panel moderator—bringing energy and professionalism both on stage and behind the scenes.

Known for his cultural fluency and deep understanding of the Asian business landscape, Jon is a dynamic communicator who enjoys connecting and learning from different people.

Jasmine is the Founder and Managing Partner of The MasterPlan LLP, a boutique events agency established in 2010. The MasterPlan specializes in B2B events, primarily within the technology, finance, and government sectors. She led her team through the COVID-19 pandemic as one of the first Events Companies to be certified by SACEOS Event Safe Certification.

She graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Business Management, majoring in Events Management. She began her career with the Singapore Tourism Board and has since gained industry experience as an Event Organizer, a Professional Conference Organizer, an educator (with TMC Academy, ITE and Ngee Ann Poly) and an entrepreneur.

Jasmine is also a member of the Entrepreneur Organization and the Australia Chamber of Commerce, where she frequently participates in the SME Committee. Her extensive network and knowledge base stem from both the events industry and her experience as a woman entrepreneur.

Lynn Lim is the HR Business Partner at Informa Markets Singapore, leading a team of over 60 staff and 10 to 15 interns yearly across major tradeshows including FHA F&B, FHA Horeca, Sea Asia, Sibcon, and OSEA.

She oversees full spectrum of strategic HR functions spanning from Organisation / Talent Development, Performance Management, Employee Engagement, C&B and L&D. Lynn’s unconventional career journey evolved from sales, admin, customer service and EA support to C-suite before finding her passion in HR. Her story exemplifies resilience and adaptability, demonstrating it’s never too late to embrace new challenges.

Lynn excels at fostering positive workplace cultures through her deep understanding of organizational dynamics and genuine people connections.

Navin RK is an experienced Account Manager at Gevme, a leading event technology company, where he helps organizations deliver impactful hybrid and digital experiences across APAC. With a background in engineering and a career journey spanning technical, sales, and creative roles, Navin brings a unique blend of technical insight and storytelling to the MICE industry.
As founder of The T3AM and director of Athipathi International Theatre Ltd. and Individual Football Training Asia, Navin harnesses events, arts, and sports to ignite and empower diverse communities.

A Master’s graduate from the University of Sydney, Richard has been involved in ‘live events’ for the past 25 years. He has launched numerous exhibitions, conferences, training events and digital communities over a broad range of industries throughout Asia Pacific.

Richard is currently the CEO of Clarion Events Asia and his role is to expand Clarion’s footprint in the region via organic growth, launch and via acquisition. He has held this role since 2014. He has oversight of Clarion’s Shanghai business, Clarion’s Indonesian business and the Clarion business in Singapore. He was previously the CEO of Terrapinn Asia Pacific. He has lived and worked in Singapore since 1995 and has been a permanent resident since 2004.

Richard is also the President of the Singapore Association of Convention & Exhibition Organisers & Suppliers (SACEOS). He has led the association and industry through the re-opening post pandemic, helping drive key initiatives and events such as the MICE Sustainability Roadmap, MICE Internship Best Practices Guidelines and the Asia CEO Summit. He was a committee member of the TR 84 Standards Committee and led the rolling out of the SafeEvent Management courses. Over 3200 certified SG SafeEvent Ambassador have been trained during Covid-19.

As a strong advocate for training and education, Richard has regularly trained both exhibition and conference management to industry, and previously served as Vice President for Professional Development at SACEOS.

He has also provided consultation to a number of business media companies in Asia Pacific focusing on strategy and performance improvement.

Richard has pitched, won and managed joint venture partnerships with some of the region’s and world’s largest trade associations and governments and has led various M&A transactions in the region.

Ronald Kuik is a highly experienced Business Account Director in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) industry, with over 15 years of dedicated experience. He demonstrates a strong proficiency in business development and management, encompassing strategic planning, client servicing, budget oversight, and innovative engagement. 

Leading a team of twelve, Ronald drives successful account management, event organization, project planning, and onsite operations. His leadership has been crucial in the seamless execution of numerous virtual and hybrid events since the onset of the pandemic. Ronald’s background in multimedia programming and software engineering enables him to effectively integrate technology into event planning, significantly enhancing overall client experiences. Throughout his diverse career, he has refined his communication skills, allowing him to adeptly translate client expectations into successful realities.

Stella is a results-oriented client servicing professional known for her proactive approach, strong multi-tasking skills, and ability to navigate fast-paced, evolving project environments. In her current role, she serves as both a primary client liaison and a de facto project coordinator, consistently advocating for the needs of both the client and the agency throughout the project lifecycle.

She partners closely with client-side stakeholders to uncover and define project requirements, collaborates with creative teams to develop compelling proposals, and works cross-functionally to drive efficient, on-time delivery. Her recent portfolio includes several high-impact projects, such as the Changi Precinct Gallery, Dioriveria Summer Event at Tanjong Beach Club, Estée Lauder at the China International Consumer Products
Expo (CICPE), and Penguin Café at Mandai Bird Park.

Vanessa is a hospitality and events professional with over 15 years of experience spanning hotel operations, sales, and data-driven revenue strategy. She currently serves as the Associate Director of MICE Data Analytics at Marina Bay Sands, where she leads the analytics function for one of Asia’s premier integrated resorts and convention centres. In her role, Vanessa is responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions across the MICE business. She is recognized for introducing revenue management practices into the MICE space and has reshaped how the convention centre approaches pricing and forecasting.

Vanessa has worked across hotel operations, sales, and revenue strategy, and enjoys finding practical ways to make things work better. She has led system upgrades and projects that have significantly improved operational efficiency and commercial outcomes.
